The Dolomite Mountains are one of the most impressive alpine regions in the world. With a fascinating blend of cultures, sensational food and a vast array of activities, they provide a unique experience that is second to none.
In the summer, you can bask in the sunshine surrounded by limestone mountain peaks, lush green pine forests and hike or bike through edelweiss and wildflowers. Alternatively, if you’ve got a greater sense of adventure then try out the famous ‘via ferrata’ paths to gain access to breath-taking views and explore the rifugios’ delicacies (often strudel!) on the mountain-tops.
When the summer months are over, the green pastures are replaced by a pristine blanket of snow and the area becomes some of the finest skiing in the world. The Dolomiti Superski is a haven for winter enthusiasts. From on or off-piste skiing, ski safaris or snow-shoeing, the terrain offers something for everyone – families, beginners and champions alike.
We think this alpine playground is definitely worth a visit - good value, an awesome setting for winter and summer activities, and most importantly - exceptional food to re-fuel on after an energetic day in the fresh air.
