Most of the time, it’s pretty easy to pack your clubs and jump on a plane to enjoy a golfing holiday with your friends or family. We thought we would focus on tailoring exceptional golfing holidays to some of the more remote corners of the planet where the services of our expert team might come in handy.
For now, we are focusing on Africa (but see bottom of this page for the best golf and spa resorts in Europe). It’s in the same time zone (plus or minus an hour or so if you are travelling from Europe) so it’s ideal for both short and longer trips. You can choose from Morocco, South Africa and Mauritius, and we will be adding Kenya next year. Each offers a completely different experience.
The exotic city of Marrakech is home to several good courses and an extraordinarily diverse choice of places to stay. You can take on courses designed by three great masters: Jack Nicklaus, Kylr Phillips and Robert Trent Jones. Your trip can combine culture, cuisine, vibrant nightlife and golf against the stunning backdrop of the snow capped Atlas Mountains. Perfect from October to April when the days are not too hot.
We’ve selected the top 7 golf courses on Mauritius, a gorgeous island off the south east coast of Africa, where you can enjoy superb golf, exception hotels and spas, turquoise seas and perfect white beaches.
Or at the foot of this vast continent, there’s South Africa. From its 400 courses, we have hand-picked the top 15 (several of which are in the world top 50) and will happily tailor-make the ideal golf tour for you. How about adding a couple of days on safari too?
All of our golfing destinations in Africa can be enjoyed year round, though – in each case – some months are better than others. If you want to up your game in the company of a golf professional, we can happily arrange that too!
Another idea for a fabulous combination of golf, spa and beaches is the gorgeous Constance Lemuria Resort in the Seychelles, or one of the world's premier resorts: Sandy Lane in Barbados, with 45 holes on your doorstep.
If you're looking for a convenient short haul option, and would like to combine playing golf in the Algarve with a stay at the Longevity Wellness Resort - it's a fun and healthy mix. Often overlooked (but it shouldn't be) is the island of Majorca which now has 25 golf courses. See golf in Majorca. Also, with four great courses, golf in Cyprus is another good option.
Golf and spa resorts within 4 hours of London
These options are perfect for both adults and families, with excellent year round climates.
