Choose from a weekend in Somerset or Berkshire staying at a luxury hotel (both of which also just happen to have spectacular spas) or a chic but bohemian coastal farm house on the wild west coast of Portugal.  Again, easily accessible for a long weekend, and ideal if you would like to combine riding a horse with riding the waves, as the surfing here is fabulous too.  Experienced riders might prefer the stunning Atlas Mountains of Morocco?

Further afield, we can include horse riding along the beaches or in the hills near Cape Town as part of your luxury villa holiday in this gorgeous corner of the southern hemisphere.  Or, what about riding in the desert in Dubai?
