Whether you wish to surf or body board, whether you’re an old pro or want to try it for the first time, we recommend two fabulous destinations: the short haul option is to south west Portugal and the long haul options are South Africa, Bali and the Maldives.
Whichever you choose, our instructors will make sure that you have a fantastic time and learn the skills you need. Both destinations are perfect for both adults and families, and we can organise boards, wetsuits and instruction.
Portugal is ideal for a weekend getaway and you can combine surfing with horse riding, biking and hiking, and enjoy a restorative massage in the evening. We recommend staying at Monte Velho, a charming, colourful converted farmhouse about a mile from the ocean, nestling on a hill in a National Park. This is wild, unspoilt Portugal, and the beaches are incredible.
Also perfect for a quick getaway is the boutique resort of Paradis Plage, located half an hour north of Agadir, on Morocco's Atlantic coast. It's just over 3 hours flying time from London and the weather is good all year round, though it does get pretty hot in July and August. Excellent on-site surf school with Rip Curl suits and Surftech boards. Lessons available to everyone over the age of 7.
South Africa, being pretty much in the same time zone as Europe, is also a weekend option but it’s a long flight and we wouldn’t recommend it. Make a week of it (at least) and choose from any number of gorgeous places to stay, from beach bungalows, luxury private villas, sleek apartments or 5 star spa hotels. Choose from Cape Town or Plettenberg Bay
There's also great surfing in Bali. The perfect change from glorious days relaxing in one of our recommended luxurious spa resorts? Or, in the Maldives, you can adopt an entire ocean lifestyle at the Four Seasons Kuda Haraa surf school, run by professionals from Tropicsurf of Noosa, Australia.

We can tailor make the perfect long or short haul break for you that focuses on surfing or combines surfing with a selection of other activities and adventures. Tell us what you would like to do, and we will organise everything for you.
