Six Senses Zighy Bay consists of 82 beautifully designed and decorated pool villas which blend into the landscape. The villas are built  as an adaptation of traditional Omani style and are generous in size. Each villa has an infinity pool which is complimented by the surrounding palms and an inviting seating area.

Pool Villa:  There are 3 different types of Pool Villas, as follows: (i) Studio style with 1 bedroom. Total area: 247 sqm (82 sqm internal); (ii) Pool Villas located directly on the beachfront, and (iii) Spa Pool Villas offering private treatment room. All Pool Villas feature an Infinity-edged pool of 21 sqm, a traditional Arabic Summer House and a private sun lounge and dining suite.

Pool Villa Suite:  There are 3 different types of Pool Villa Suites, as follows:  (i) 1 bedroom and separate living area. Total area: 412 sqm (126 sqm internal), (ii) 8 Pool Villa Suites located directly on the beachfront and (iii) Spa Pool Villa Suites with a private treatment room.  All Pool Villa Suites have an Infinity-edged pool size measuring 24 sqm and feature a separate traditional Arabic Summer House, a private Sun lounge and outdoor dining suite.

Zighy Pool Villa:  Two types: (i) 2 bedrooms / Total area 334 sqm (161 sqm internal), and (ii) Zighy Spa Pool Villas with a private treatment room (176 sqm). All featuring a bedroom area on the ground floor and a 2nd bedroom
combined with living area and balcony on the 1st floor, as well as an Infinity-edged pool size of 18 sqm, an outdoor Majlis and/or traditional Arabic Summer house and a private Sun lounge and outdoor dining suite.

Zighy Pool Villa Suite:  Three types: (i) 2 bedrooms with Living Room. Total area 438 sqm (218 sqm internal); (ii) Zighy Spa Pool Villa Suites on beachfront with private treatment room (229 sqm) and (iii) Zighy Pool Villa Suite located directly on the beachfront. All consisting of 1 bedroom and separate living area on ground floor and 2nd bedroom and veranda on top floor, featuring an Infinity-edged pool size measuring 24 sqm, a traditional Arabic Summer House and/or outdoor Majlis and a private sun lounge and outdoor dining suite.

Retreats:  Total area of each is 1,122 sqm.  The two ‘Retreats’ are located at each end of the beautiful Resort and are overlooking the sea.  They offer an excellent level of comfort, luxury and privacy and are a blend of the surrounding traditional Omani, indigenous village style and modern amenities, which provide luxury amidst local cultural themes.  The villas offer a spacious, personal environment with rustic chic décor.  Enjoy the intimacy of your own private beach, Spa indulgence treatment room and oversized infinity swimming pool.

With their two bedrooms, separate living and dining room areas, kitchen and personal butler service, they are your haven away from home.  Capacity: 4 adults (in 2 bedrooms) and 2 children under 12 years (in daybeds).  The following services are provided without charge, when renting a Retreat:

Private Reserve:  Located at the far end of our Resort, on its own stretch of private beach, the Private Reserve (3,000 sq.m) has been carefully designed to reflect the traditional local Omani architecture with its exclusive entrance, leading to an open court which overlooks the three buildings making this a true Arabian Palace of
Wonders. Within, you will find vast open spaces, set on multiple elevations, offering spectacular views over the Gulf of Oman.

The Private Reserve, with its four bedrooms, also includes a traditional copper bathtub in the master bedroom, a variety of separate living and dining room areas for entertaining, a private Spa suite, a gym, a yoga studio,  a private wine cellar, a maids’/nannies’ quarters, a private security office, an oversized infinity swimming pool. The Private Reserve comes with a livein Butler who will cater to your every need 24 hours a day.  Capacity: 8 adults (in 4 bedrooms) and 2 children under 12 years (in daybeds).  The following services are provided without charge when renting ‘The Private Reserve’:

Dining on the Sand:  A dining experience of luxurious simplicity along with various culinary evenings and balanced cuisine signature dishes, making it a must dine experience in the evenings. Dining offers specialties of Arabia and a variety of pan Asian and Continental.

Sense on the Edge:  Offers a stunning dining experience perched high atop the mountains overlooking Zighy Bay.

Zighy deli:  The open air deli provides an ideal place to enjoy a light lunch, tea or flavoured drink at any time throughout the day. Sandwiches are given a new meaning through the very delectable selection of fresh organic garden salads, paninis, croissant, sandwiches, focaccias and more. In the evening enjoy a full compliment of seafood delicacies.

The Mood Bar:  Offers a relaxed summer house experience.

In Villa dining:  This experience is available 24 hours, serving a variety of home style dishes as well as light snacks.

Wine cellar - Vinotheque:  The wine cellar boasts labels from many of the world’s finest regions.  Regular wine tastings and wine dinners are held in the cellar

Location

The Musandam Peninsula is an exclave region of the Sultanate of Oman, separated from the rest of the country by the United Arab Emirates. Its mountains rise up to 2,100 metres above the coast and juts into the Strait of Hormuz.  With its rugged, spectacular fjord-like bays it is no wonder that Musandam is also called “The Norway of the Middle East”. Zighy Bay is approx. 120 kilometres, (about a two-hour drive) from Dubai International Airport, which is the gateway city to Zighy Bay.
