innsbruck austria

Innsbruck is the gateway to several of our hand picked healthy holiday destinations, all with easy access through the mountains from Innsbruck airport.

Whilst it's quaint and neat, we don't actually recommend spending any time here expect, perhaps, to do some skiing.  Our recommendation is to head in to the Italian Dolomites (about 90 minutes away) for an amazing selection of winter and summer adventures, or the Kitzbuhel Alps for some fantastic mountain activities.

For a rejuvenating spa experience in the hands of some highly regarded professionals, visit Parkhotel Igls - a winner at the prestigious 2012 Tatler Spa Awards.  Only fifteen minutes from Innsbruck airport, Parkhotel Igls is the perfect retreat venue for those wishing to not venture too far from London and receive some expert, hands-on treatment and therapies.

Weather and when to go

Winters are cold around -5°C, the snow is great and the skiing is plentiful and on the door step. The Summers are influenced by the ‘Föhn’ winds that increase the temperature into the mid-twenties. Innsbruck is coldest during January and February going as low as -8°C and warmest during July and August hitting 25°C.
