7 nights half board from £2,149 anahita mauritius

This luxury Four Seasons resort is a piece of paradise on the east coast fusing together the lifestyle, culture and hospitality of Mauritius.  Located in a private nature sanctuary within a belt of lush tropical forest rich in indigenous birds and plants.

There are 123 spacious residences and villas, spread between the resort mainland and island of Ile aux Chats.  These vary in size from a romantic honeymoon escape to a full family getaway. All boast a private landscaped terrace with plunge pool, an open-air bathroom with a fabulous deep soaking tub and a refreshing outdoor garden shower! Natural dark wood and volcanic stones create a sophisticated feel.

We particularly recommend the superb apartments and villas if you're travelling as a group of golfers and looking for something a bit different and a bit special.

Those looking for serious pampering can retreat to the ‘overwater’ Spa. The collection of therapies reflect the cultural mosaic of Mauritius, drawing on Indian, African, Chinese and European traditions while employing natural indigenous ingredients. The Aqua Vichy room offers the opportunity to truly relax, with a purifying sauna, steam room and handcrafted mangrove Vichy shower. Six double treatment suites equipped with steam and outdoor showers are a perfect sanctuary for a couple's retreat.

There are four restaurants giving a real multi national culinary expertise from Mauritius, Italy, France and Asia.  In particular their world class Michelin two star restaurant.  There are four swimming pools, as well as a fitness centre, water sports, two tennis courts, a children's club, and an 18 hole championship golf course designed by Ernie Els.

Anahita is a great all rounder with something for everybody!
