hotel cortina

hotel cortina dolomite mountains

On the main drag of this stylish resort is the 4 star, Hotel Cortina - one of the oldest hotels in the resort.  In an ideal location so you can immerse yourself in the buzzing atmosphere of this chic resort, the hotel is family-run and has charming, traditional rooms.

In front of the 19th century bell tower of Cortina d’Ampezzo, this hotel is in the heart of the shopping area and close to the ski-bus stop bound for the Dolomite Superski area.  Rooms are sound-proofed so a morning snooze won’t be disturbed by the church bells and are decked out in dark, cosy wood with Ampezzo-style paintings and balconies with views of the surrounding mountains.

There is a restaurant and bar as you enter the hotel which looks onto the main street with a pleasant terrace where you can enjoy an aperitif during the summer, or start off après-ski .  Food served is mainly traditional, local Italian food with local wines which the head waiter would be happy to advise you on.  There is also a sweet, little spa to relieve those aches and pains after a day on the slopes.

A delightful, traditional hotel in Cortina d’Ampezzo, only a few steps away from the lovely boutique shops and other joys that the resort has to offer.

During the summer, enjoy an aperitif on the terrace of the Hotel Cortina bar, also an ideal place for an après-ski rendezvous during the skiing season; the bar is located on Corso Italia, where among boutiques and antique shops it is a place imbued with the worldliness of Cortina.  After sampling aperitifs, relax in the ‘Ristorantino’, an area of the bar in the rustic Ampezzo style where you have an opportunity to sample some delicious flambé and other specialties from the chef's flavourful menu.
