la residencia

7 nights from £1,235 la residencia majorca

Originally a traditional finca, La Residencia has developed in to a much larger resort, cleverly spread out over lots of different levels, with numerous quiet spaces for sunbathing and lounging in the perfectly manicured grounds.  It's a charming and special counry retreat.

As you would expect from an Orient Express hotel, the service is excellent. Staff are attentive, the food delicious (particularly the lunch buffet crammed with fresh seafood) and the décor exquisite. The hotel even has its own art curator who takes care of the incredible collection of artworks that are dotted around the hotel.

For sports and outdoor enthusiasts the hotel has its own tennis courts and a well equipped gym.  La Residencia is well located for road and mountain biking or, if you prefer to explore on foot, the surrounding hills offer wonderful hiking.  Our team of local expert guides will look after you every step (or pedal) of the way.  There are numerous golf courses on the island, and several reasonably nearby. La Residencia also offers a complimentary boat trip along the Unesco world heritage coastline that is definitely worth experiencing.

The hotel has two outdoor swimming pools, a heated indoor pool and a large, inviting spa.  Yoga and Pilates are also on offer here.

During your stay, you can enjoy fine dining at the award winning El Olivo restaurant or at the hotel's traditional tapas restaurant.  If you feel like venturing out, you can walk to Deiá and pick a taverna.

The hotel offers its own kids club in the school holidays with arts and crafts sessions, cooking and donkey rides.

La Residencia is well suited for both couples and families alike and we think it's a fantastic destination for spring sunshine or late summer sun. With a short flight and transfer time, even a weekend stay at this delightful hotel will leave you rested and rejuvenated.
