croatia adriatic sea

Croatia is home to one of Europe’s last unspoilt coastlines.  An archipelago of hidden coves, ancient forests, Roman ruins, medieval villages and National Parks....

We have over 20 exceptional gulets, ketches, sailing boats and motor vessels for you to choose from in Croatia.  So, whatever the size of your party and whatever you wish your itinerary to include, we can organise it for you.  'Our man in Croatia' has many years of experience chartering vessels for clients and can arrange everything you and your guests could possibly need.

If you would rather stay on land and enjoys the views of the Adriatic, we have a mouth watering selection of recommended places to stay:

  • Dubrovnik - stay at the aptly named 5 star Hotel Bellevue for wonderful views and a lovely little spa.  Easy walking distance from Dubrovnik Old Town.
  • Hvar - Adriana is a funky harbourside hotel with a wonderful contemporary spa.
  • Rovinj - Monte Mulini is a luxury 5 star hotel on a quiet, scenic bay and perfectly positioned for numerous activities and excursions.  Great for adults and families with older children.
  • Vis - gorgeous little island where we have a lovely 3 bedroom cottage and an equally lovely 4 bedroom cottage, both yards from the water's edge.

There are 1,185 islands sprinkled along over a thousand miles of coastline. Many are inhabited, some ecologically clean with no traffic, some isolated like Lastovo or Vis, some made of sand like Susak, but all of exceptional beauty.  Many more are deserted, whilst others have bustling cosmopolitan towns and great restaurants and bars.

Breathtaking views and historic charm abound. The splendid architecture of Dubrovnik should not be missed and the delightful Heritage Town of Trogir has charming cobbled streets, a masterpiece of Croatian Architecture.

With Montenegro nearby, we have watched this former Yugoslavian country morph into another ‘must visit’ destination. Many of our boats now visit the Bay of Kotor, Budva, moor outside Sveti Stefan (the new Aman resort) or we can organise a quick inland visit to Lake Skadar.

With our expert local knowledge of the stunning Croatian coastline and its hundreds of islands, and all its best boats and skippers, you can be sure that we can tailor-make an itinerary that suits you best.

Here are just a small selection of ideas to whet your appetite....

Weather and when to go

The best months for exploring the coastline and islands of Croatia and Montenegro are from May to September with 10 to 12 hours of sunshine per day and temperatures in the mid to high 20’s, occasionally reaching into the 30’s in the very height of summer.

Croatia boasts very low humidity, sitting at about 60%, so even in the scorching sun the heat is bearable, and you are also never far from the crystal waters of the Adriatic to dive into and cool off.

Getting here

Flying time from London Gatwick to Dubrovnik or Split is an easy 2 hours 40 minutes with daily flights from easyJet.  easyJet also offers weekly flights from Manchester and Bristol.

British Airways flies to Dubrovnik daily too, from Gatwick.

Our aim is simple: to charter the boat that most suits your requirements and create the perfect itinerary for you.

We have an impressive selection of sailing boats, gulets, ketches and motor vessels for you to choose from and our Croatia expert is on hand to match you up with the best option.  Choose from a self catering traditional 17m sailing boat with four cabins (sleeps 8) and your own Captain, or splash out on a luxury 28m Turkish gulet - undoubtedly one of the most beautiful and well equipped in the world - that's fully catered by an onboard team of chef, steward and butler.

Of course, there's lots of choice in between!  Some are best for groups of adults, others for one or more families.

Take a moment to see just some of the boats we are featuring, but bear in mind that we have many more options.  Don't hesitate to call us if you would like to discuss your requirements with us.  Our expert actually has a home in Croatia and has personally visited all the best boats in the region and, naturally, knows all the ins and outs of designing and creating an exceptional boating holiday.
